Overview

GraceSoft Proverbs is built around a simple idea: the app should work fully on your device, with nothing sent anywhere. This policy explains, plainly, what that means for your data — which, in short, is that we don't collect any.

What we collect

We do not collect, receive, or have access to any personal information through the app. There is no account to create, no sign-in, and no server that the app talks to for its day-to-day reading experience. All five translations and all reading themes are bundled into the app at install time, so reading a chapter never sends a request anywhere.

Device-only settings

Preferences — your chosen translation, reading theme, font size, serif/sans setting, verse-number visibility, and notification time — are stored locally on your device only. We never see these values, and they never leave your device unless you back up or transfer your device using your platform's own backup tools, which are governed by Apple's or Google's privacy practices, not ours.

Notifications

The optional daily reading reminder is scheduled entirely on your device using your operating system's local notification scheduler. The app requests notification permission only at the moment you turn the reminder on — never on first launch, and never for any other purpose. No notification content or schedule is transmitted to us or to any third party.

No tracking or analytics

The app contains no analytics software development kit, no crash reporter that phones home, no advertising identifier, and no third-party tracking library. We do not know how often the app is opened, which translation is most read, or anything else about how you use it. This microsite follows the same rule: no analytics or tracking scripts run on any of its four pages.

Third-party services

Installing the app involves the App Store or Google Play, which collect their own installation and purchase data under their own privacy policies — that data is between you and the platform, not something we receive. This website is served as static files with no backend of its own; loading the fonts.googleapis.comfonts (Playfair Display and Montserrat) is handled per Google's own privacy practices, not ours.

Children's privacy

Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, there is nothing collected from children either. The app and this site are not directed at collecting information from any age group, by design rather than by an age gate.

Data retention and deletion

There is nothing on our servers to retain or delete, because there is no server-side storage of your data in the first place. Deleting the app removes every setting stored on your device along with it — there is no account to separately close and no remote copy of your preferences to request the deletion of.

Data Protection Officer

Davina Leong is the Data Protection Officer for GraceSoft Proverbs and is the named contact for any privacy-related request, question, or complaint — including requests to access, correct, or delete personal data under applicable data protection law. As noted above, we hold no personal data on our servers to begin with, so most such requests will simply confirm that. Reach the DPO directly at davinaleong@gracesoft.com.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change with it. Because the app has no way to push notices to you directly, meaningful changes will also be reflected on this page's Home section and, once available, in the app's own release notes.
