Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using GraceSoft Proverbs (the "app"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree with them, please don't install or use the app.

License to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal reading. This license doesn't give you any right to redistribute, resell, sublicense, decompile, or reverse-engineer the app itself, or to remove any copyright or attribution notices it contains.

The translations

The app bundles five public-domain Bible translations — the World English Bible (2000), King James Version (1611), American Standard Version (1901), Young's Literal Translation (1898), and the Douay-Rheims (1610, Challoner revision 1752). Because these texts are in the public domain, their use in the app carries no separate license fee or royalty. Public-domain status doesn't change how these Terms apply to the app itself.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of defects, or that any verse text is free of transcription error, though we take reasonable care to bundle accurate public-domain source texts.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GraceSoft will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the app.

Cost

The app is free to download and use. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no advertising. Every translation and every reading theme is included from install, and this is not expected to change for a paid tier later.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in a way that doesn't infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the app by, anyone else. You may not attempt to extract, repackage, or redistribute the bundled translation text as a standalone product.

Termination

This license continues until you delete the app or until we discontinue it. Because there's no account and nothing stored on our servers, termination on your end is as simple as uninstalling the app — there's nothing further to close out.

Governing law

The governing jurisdiction for these Terms has not yet been finalized and will be confirmed alongside the legal review noted at the top of this page.

Changes to these terms

If these Terms change, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change with it. Continued use of the app after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
